
Leonard and Hagens Earn Hockey East Weekly Awards

Ryan Leonard was named Player of the Week; James Hagens named Rookie of the Week
AMESBURY, Mass. – Sophomore Ryan Leonard and freshman James Hagens were named recipients of Hockey East weekly awards for their performances for the Eagles this past week.

Leonard was named the Player of the Week, while Hagens was named the Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week.

Leonard finished with five goals and one assist over the course of three games for BC. On Tuesday, the Massachusetts native had a hand in all three goals in the 3-2 overtime victory over No. 10 Providence, including scoring the game-tying and game-winning goals. He followed that up with two more goals, including the game-winner, in Friday's 3-0 win over Northeastern, before capping his weekend with a goal in Saturday's game at Northeastern.

Hagens recorded two assists in each of the two wins for the Eagles this past week. On Tuesday, he had an assist on BC's first goal as well as the primary one on the game-winning goal. He then posted another two assists in Friday's victory over Northeastern, earning assists on the first and third goals.

BC plays host to Dartmouth at Kelley Rink on Friday. Puck drop is slated for 7 p.m. and the game will be streamed live on ESPN+.
