Ezeiruaku, Trapilo Earn ACC Weekly Awards

Eagles pull in ACC Offensive and Defensive Lineman of the Week honors.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Boston College's Donovan Ezeiruaku (Williamstown, N.J.) and Ozzy Trapilo (Norwell, Mass.) each pulled in ACC weekly awards on Monday as the Defensive Lineman of the Week and Offensive Lineman of the Week. It marks the first fifth and sixth awards for the Eagles this season and first week with two individuals honored.
In a 41-21 win over North Carolina, Ezeiruaku totaled two sacks, including one solo, to push his season total to 13.0, which is tied for the league lead. He added six tackles and four quarterback hurries, which impacted the BC defense's three-interception day.
Trapilo and the Eagle offensive line paved the way for 420 yards of offense, including 228 on the ground. He rated at a 85.9 pass block grade from PFF and did not allow a pressure on 33 dropbacks.
Boston College (6-5, 3-4 ACC) wraps up the regular season at home against Pittsburgh (7-4, 3-4) on Saturday at 3 p.m. The Eagles will honor 2023 College Football Hall of Fame inductee Luke Kuechly during the game. Tickets are available at BCEagles.com.
