STORRS, CONN. – No.11 Boston College fell to No. 14 UConn 2-1 on Saturday evening.
UConn got on the board first in the sixth minute of the game. BC was able to respond with only 44 seconds left in the period. Sammy Taber broke up the Huskie attack, skated to the goal, and dished the puck to Keri Clougherty, who sent it to the back of the net. The two sides were tied at 1-1 after the first period.
In the second period, UConn broke the tie in the 16th, giving the Huskies the 2-1 lead after the second frame.
Neither team scored in the final frame, giving UConn the 2-1 victory.
