Eagles Close Out Fall Slate at the Foot of the Charles

The First Varsity 8+ led BC finishing 15th
BOSTON – The Boston College rowing team concluded their fall slate at the Foot of the Charles regatta Saturday morning. The first varsity eight took fifteenth in their respective event to lead the Eagles.Â
The race had a strong 14 mph headwind/cross headwind with gusts up to 25 mph. The Varsity eights raced from the MIT boathouse to finish at Newell.Â
The Eagles first varsity eight, placed 15th in the field of 26 with a final time of 15:08.1. The second varsity eight followed behind, the crew clocked a time of 15.31.2 to take 18th place. While the fourth and third varsity eight finished 24th and 25th, respectively, with finishing times of 16:27.2 and 16:38.8.
The Eagles Novice eight raced from the Head of the Charles start to finish at Newell, crossing the line with a time of 13:45.0 finishing third in the flight of three.Â
