
Eagles Secure Second Victory of the Season in Hewitt Trophy Regatta

BC also placed second in the first round of the Open Atlantic Coast Championships
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College sailing team was back in action this past weekend, securing their second win of the season in the Hewitt Trophy regatta in Brunswick, Maine, while finishing second in the first round of the Open Atlantic Coast Championships in Annapolis, Md.
The Eagles started the weekend in Brunswick for the Hewitt Trophy regatta, where the A division boat scored 28 points, while the B division boat scored 12 points, for a total of 40 points and a first place finish. This is the second win of the season for the Eagles.
In Annapolis, the BC sailed to a second place finish in the first round of the Open Atlantic Coast Championships. The A division boat scored 140 points, while the B division boat scored 66 points, for a total of 206 points and a second place finish.
Up next: The Eagles will travel to Hanover, N.H. for the Captain Hurst regatta from Saturday, October 12th to Sunday, October 13th, and Annapolis, Md. on the same dates for the Women's Atlantic Coast Championship Final. BC will also host the Savel Hill Invite on Saturday, October 12th.
