
Eagles Secure Three Top-Five Finishes Across Four Races this Past Weekend

BC has 15 top-five finishes this season
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College sailing competed in four races this past weekend, securing three top-five finishes. The Eagles placed 4th of 15 in the Captain Hurst Bowl, 2nd of 15 in the Savin Hill Invite, and 3rd of 9 in the NEISA Match Race Championship. They also placed 9th of 18 in the Women's Atlantic Coast Championship Final.
The Eagles started the weekend with the Captain Hurst Bowl in Hanover, N.H., where they raced two boats. The A division boat scored 72 points with one first place finish, while the B division boat scored 56 points with six first place finishes, for a total of 135 points and a fourth place finish.
In the Women's Atlantic Coast Championship Final in Annapolis, Md., the Eagles raced two boats, with the A division scoring 159 points and the B division scoring 137 points for a total of 296 points and a ninth place finish.
In New London, Conn. for the NEISA Match Race Championship, the Eagles raced one boat, which scored nine points, earning the team a third place finish.
To finish the weekend, the Eagles hosted the Savin Hill invite, where they raced two boats. The A division boat scored 26 points while the B division boat scored 24 points, for a total of 50 points and a third place finish.
Up next: The Eagles are set to host the Open Atlantic Coast Championship Final and compete in the Oberg Trophy regatta, the Norman Reid TR, the Lane Trophy TR, and the Nickerson Trophy regatta next weekend.
