Eagles place 12th at Paul Short Run on Saturday morning
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Boston College Men's Cross Country team opened its season on Saturday Morning at the Paul Short Run on the campus of Lehigh University, placing 12th overall.Â
Steven Jackson was the first Eagle to cross the finish line in the Men's College Gold 8k, placing 29th overall. Jackson covered the eight-kilometer course in a time of 24:04.8. Theodor Schucht finished just behind Jackson with a time of 24:05.0, earning him 30th place.Â
Edward Sullivan (24:44.5) and Will Purnell (24:47.0) crossed the line at 99th and 103rd place respectively, while Aidan Brancaccio (141st) was the final scorer for the Eagles with a time of 21:32.6.
Eero Helenius (25:10.6) finished 162nd overall and John Garvey (25:17.2) finished 174th, while Cruz Brown (25:50.7) rounded out the group of Eagles who competed in the eight-kilometer competition.Â
Boston College Men's Cross Country team finished 12th overall with 389 points, while Wingate (30) took home the win on the Men's side at the 2024 Paul Short Run. Harvard (95), Utah State (109), Navy (179), and Cornell (184) rounded out the top-five finishers.Â
