Ryan Leonard scored two goals in the final minute of Saturday’s game

AMESBURY, Mass. – Sophomore Ryan Leonard was named the Hockey East Co-Player of the Week following his two-goal performance in Boston College's 4-2 come-from-behind victory over No. 14 Western Michigan in front of a sold-out crowd Saturday at Kelley Rink.

Leonard scored the game-winning goal with just under one minute remaining in the third period to put the Eagles ahead 3-2. Leonard connected with Gabe Perreault on a give-and-go and capitalized from close range. He added his second goal of the night just 30 seconds later, scoring an empty netter to put the game away.

The Eagles currently sit at No. 2 in this week's USCHO.com and USA Hockey / The Rink Live polls.

BC travels to Minnesota this weekend for a pair of non-conference games at St. Cloud State. The Eagles are back at Kelley Rink on Nov. 8 and Nov. 10 against Maine to open Hockey East play. Tickets for the home games against the Black Bears are available at BCEagles.com or by calling 617-552-GoBC.
