
The Eagles Sweep No. 3 Clarkson

A three goal third period pushed BC over No. 3 Clarkson.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Behind a three goal third period the Boston College women's hockey team completed the sweep of No. 3 Clarkson, 4-3 on Sunday afternoon.
The Golden Knights started the game off strong getting the early lead 10 minutes into the game. The Eagles tied the game five minutes later. Molly Jordan scored off the rebound of Abby Newhook's shot. The score remained 1-1 after the first period.
Clarkson had an opportunity to break the tie, but Grace Campbell made a diving save with 30 seconds left in the period to keep the score 1-1 heading into the final frame.
In the final frame, there were five goals scored. Clarkson scored back-to-back goals to give the Golden Knights a 3-1 advantage with 15 minutes left to play. The Eagles responded scoring three unanswered goals.
Kaite Pyne scored the first goal in the third period to put BC within one. Gaby Roy netted the equalizer with 10 minutes left in the game. Julia Pellerin scored the game winning goal on the breakaway beating the goalie five-hole to give the Eagles a 4-3 lead.
