Swimming & Diving Falls to Army on Friday Night

The Eagles fall to Army in dual meet on Friday night on both the Men's and Women's side.
WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Boston College Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving teams fell to Army on both the Men's and Women's side in a dual meet that took place over a span of two days.Â
The Eagles fell to the Black Knights 84-216 on the Men's side, while the Women's team lost 116-182 on Friday night at Crandall Pool on the campus of Army. The Eagles and the Black Knights competed in multiple diving events on Thursday night, and swimming competitions on Friday night.Â
Anthony Rosenberger started off the meet for Eagles in strong fashion, placing first overall in the Men's 1m diving with a score of 282.60. Angus Williams placed second overall with a score 275.33.Â
Allison McCabe earned the highest placement for Women's diving, finishing fourth overall in Women's 1m diving with a score 198.08.
Samantha Smith stood out for the Eagles on Friday night, ending the night with two first place finishes. Smith took the top spot in the Women's 200 yard butterfly with a time of 2:03.74, while also finishing on top in the Women's 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:02.53.Â
Lauren Lee and Megan Kramer earned the other two first place finishes for BC. Lee competed in the Women's 100 yard freestyle, finishing with a time of 52.32. Kramer touched the wall at 5:02.71 in the Women's 500 yard freestyle, earning first place in the event.
