Swimming & Diving Set for Dual Meet Against Army

BC Swimming & Diving travels to West Point for Dual meet on Thursday and Friday
WEST POINT, N.Y. – Boston College Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving travels to West Point, N.Y. to face Army in a dual meet on Thursday and Friday at Crandall Pool.Â
The meet is set to begin on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. with the Men's and Women's diving competitions. The Eagles and Black Knights will continue competition into Friday with Men's and Women's swimming events taking place at 4:30 p.m.

Scouting the Black KnightsÂ
Army is led by head swimming coach Brandt Nigro and head diving coach Connor Dorff. Nigro is in his fifth year with Army, while Dorff is in his second season.
Army last competed against Minnesota on Oct. 11 in Minneapolis, Minn. in a dual meet. The Black Knights fell to the Gophers 59.00-222.00 on the Women's side, and 100-181 on the Men's side.Â
Catriona Gilmore led Army's Women's team with a first place and second place finish at the meet. She earned first place in the Women's 100 breast with a time of 1:02.04, and clocked a time of 2:15.00 in the Women's 200 breast.Â
Freshman Johnny Crush is making an impact for Army on the Men's side. Crush broke the program record for the Men's 100 back against Minnesota, while also helping Army secure first place finishes in two relays.Â
Last Time Out
The Eagles last competed on Oct. 5 in a dual meet against UMass at the Joseph R. Rogers Jr. Pool. Boston College defeated the Minutemen 186-114 on the Men's side, while the Women's team won 156-142.Â
Boston College earned the victory on the Men's side behind 10 first-place finishes, led by Ben Huffman and Jack Doyle who both had two individual first-place finishes. On the Women's side the Eagles earned 10 first-place finishes, led by Megan Kramer, Lauren Lee, and Samantha Smith, who all compiled two first-place finishes each. Lee's accomplishments earned her ACC Women's Swimmer of the Week on Oct. 8.Â
Angus Williams earned the highest finish for the Eagles in the diving events on the day, placing second overall in both the 3 meter and 1 meter dives. Â

Head coach Dara Torres earned her first victory as a head coach at Boston College since joining the staff in June of 2024.Â
