Rowing Closes Racing at Head of the Charles

BOSTON – The Boston College women's rowing program wrapped up the 59th Head of the Charles Regatta on Sunday, Oct. 20.Â
Four crews raced on the weekend. On Saturday the Club 4+, and two Club 8+ raced, while on Sunday the Champ 4+ competed.Â
The weekend kicked off with the Club 4+, coxed by Caroline Jennings, stroked by Lauren Schramm, Molly Devine, Grace Yi, and bow seat Rachele Papineau finished the race sixth out of 50 crews.Â
On Saturday afternoon the two Eagle Club 8+ raced. The second Club 8+ coxed by Kendra Schmidt, stroke seat Chloe Wilkinson, Ruby Barnett, Elizabeth Cobb, Kirsten Thorn, Amelia Sanger, Charlotte Cochener, Neave Anderson, and bow seat Jo McTamney led BC finishing 20th out of 42 crews.
The Champ 4+ closed out the Eagles appearance at the HOCR on Sunday coxed by Madelyn Stevens, Lucy Barratt, Lauren Bauer, Brooke Picazio, and Lauren Meath finished the event 13th out of 18 crews. The 4+ raced against six programs that participated in the 2024 NCAA Championships.Â
