
No. 9 Eagles Take Down No. 13 Great Danes 3-1 on Senior Day

BC Improves to 11-3, going 8-0 at home this season
NEWTON, Mass. - No. 9 Boston College field hockey (11-3, 5-0 ACC) defeated No. 13 UAlbany (12-3, 4-0 AE) by a score of 3-1 on Sunday afternoon.
The Eagles got off to a hot start, with Yani Zhong finding the back of the net just four minutes into the game after a shot from Mia Garber bounced her way. Garber would add another for the Eagles two minutes later, firing a shot from the top of the circle.Â
The Great Danes came out swinging in the second quarter, as Charlotte Triggs got on the board just 27 seconds in. The Eagles went into the half with a one goal lead.
With 10 minutes to play in the game, Eva Kluskens found the back of the net for her first of the season, assisted by Klara Mueffelmann.Â
The Eagles had the edge in shots (17-6), shots on goal (11-3), and penalty corners (5-3). Charlotte Kramer recorded two saves in goal for BC, while Lara Behn recorded five for the Great Danes. UAlbany also recorded three defensive saves.
Up next: The Eagles travel to North Carolina next weekend to face Duke on Friday at 5 p.m. and the University of North Carolina on Sunday at 12 p.m. Friday's game will be streamed on the ACC Network Extra, while Sunday's game will be live on the ACC Network.
