Tricia Piku had the lone goal for the Eagles

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Boston College Eagles and the Holy Cross Crusaders faced off in the Hockey East Opener. Holy Cross came up with a 4-1 victory over the Eagles on Thursday evening.

Freshman Trica Piku gave the Eagles the early lead in the first period. The Crusaders put in the equalizer shortly after. Holy Cross notched their second goal off a power play to give them the 2-1 advantage entering the second intermission. In the final period, Holy Cross added their final two goals in the final frame.

Boston College had the 29-17 lead in shots on goal
The Crusaders went 2-for-4 on the power play while the Eagles were 0-for-2.
Grace Campbell was in between the pipes for BC, Campbell ended the night with 13 saves.
Julia Pellerin led the Eagles with five shots on goal.
Kiley Erickson tied for a game-high four blocked shots.
Julia Pellerin and Abby Newhook tied for a team-high 10 faceoff wins.
