Eagles Cruise to 6-1 Victory in Home Opener

The duo of Juan Jose Bianchi and Jake Vassel continued to put together a phenomenal 2023-24 campaign, taking the first doubles match of the day in a 6-3 bout. Bennett Turner and Matt Campbell brought a surge of energy to the Warriors, cruising to a 6-1 victory to clinch the doubles point. Anesh Jayasundera and a debuting Caleb Saltz completed the doubles sweep, claiming a 6-2 victory.
Boston College continued to dominate as the match turned to singles action, taking the first four points in consecutive straight sets by the hands of Mai Gao (6-0, 6-1), Caleb Saltz (6-2, 6-1), Connor McDonald (6-2, 6-2), and Matt Campbell (6-4, 6-0). After dropping the first set 4-6, Jake Vassel mounted a 6-2 comeback to force a third set. However, with the game already decided, the match was decided with one last game with Vassel falling short 0-1. Shreekar Eedara wrapped up the highly successful evening with a 6-3, 6-4 victory.
