
Extra Sets Fall Short as Eagles Drop 5-2 Contest to Brown

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Boston College (1-1, 0-0 ACC) suffered its first loss of the 2024 campaign, falling to Brown (1-4, 0-0Â IVY) in a 5-2 affair.
The doubles team of Juan Jose Bianchi and Jake Vassel continued their winning streak, earning a 6-1 victory in the No. 1 doubles match. Brown would take the doubles point after securing 6-2 and 6-0 victories over Boston College.
Singles competition was extremely competitive, with four of the six matches going into a third set. Caleb Saltz and Mai Gao earned the only points for BC, taking victory in their matches 7-6, 6-3 and 7-5, 6-7, 6-3 respectively. The Eagles struggled in third set action, falling short in three out of four matches that needed an extra set.
