BC Set to Face-off No. 8 Pittsburgh

Eagles are on the road to meet no. 8 Pittsburgh
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass.- The Boston College volleyball team continues ACC play on the road against the No. 8 University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, PA. on Friday, Sept. 29 at 7:00 p.m.
Boston College faced No. 5 Louisville on the road in Louisville, KY last Sunday. The Eagles fell in four sets to the Cardinals. Senior Katrina Jensen led the Eagles in kills, with 15. Jensen hit .433 for the match - best among all players on the afternoon. Freshman Halle Schroder and senior Anna Murphy each tallied double-figures in digs, while setters Sophia Lambros and Jane Petrie led the way in assists. Junior Julia Haggerty posted nine total blocks, including two solo and seven assisted.
Pittsburgh is 11-2 on the season and 2-0 in conference play. The Panthers are coming off of a victory against North Carolina. Freshman Torrey Stafford led the charge for North Carolina with 16 kills. Graduate student Chiamaka Nwokolo defended the net with eight blocks while Emmy Klika and Olivia Babcock defended the floor with seven digs a piece.
Friday's match will be the 33 meeting all time between the two teams since 1990. The Eagles are looking for its second win against the Panthers. The last time the two teams met on Nov. 26, 2022 the Eagles fell in three sets.
