Eagles finish the week under the sun on Sunday morning
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — Day four of Boston College football's preseason camp took place under the sun on a warm Sunday morning. The majority of the session took place on Chamberlin Field in the nice weather.
Offensive Highlights: Thomas Castellanos found success on the ground in the first team period, first escaping the rush on a broken play, then picking up a chunk of yards on a designed play-action quarterback keeper. Redshirt freshman Matt Ragan made a nice one-handed catch over the middle on a pass from Castellanos. The Eagles featured a variety of run looks from the pistol formation today, including a handful of gains from Alex Broome out of the backfield. Emmett Morehead converted on several deep balls today, first to Dino Tomlin in 7-on-7, and then to Jaden Williams on a perfect back-shoulder throw that produced a diving catch on the sideline.
Defensive Highlights: The ones generated a lot of pocket pressure in the first team period. Victor Nelson picked up a good pass breakup on a cross over the middle during the second team period. Elijah Moore collected a couple PBUs today, the first disrupting a touchdown throw in the front corner of the end zone, and the second a leaping deflection on a deep ball over the middle.
Third Down, Tempo: Emmett Morehead connected with Taji Johnson on a deep ball on the first play. Thomas Castellanos completed a precision back-shoulder throw to Lewis Bond. The session was punctuated by a diving sideline catch by Jaden Williams on a back shoulder throw from Emmett Morehead.
