No. 17 Eagles Face Top-Ranked Competition in ACC/Big 10 Challenge

BC will compete against No. 2 Northwestern on Friday and No. 3 Maryland on Sunday
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – No. 17 Boston College (2-0, 0-0) travels to College Park, Md. to compete in the ACC/Big 10 Challenge, starting with No. 2 Northwestern (0-1) on Friday at 7:30 p.m. and No. 3 Maryland (3-0) on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. BC looks to keep its momentum going after an undefeated opening weekend, defeating Maine 3-1 and Providence 3-0.

Northwestern is coming off a home-opener loss to Louisville, where the Cardinals left Evanston, Ill. with a 1-0 victory. In last year's ACC/B1G Challenge, the Wildcats emerged victorious against the host Eagles in a 6-0 affair. Boston College holds a 2-5 record against Northwestern in ACC/Big 10Â Challenge matchups, dating back to 2015.
Maryland is off to a hot start, claiming three straight victories against Stanford, California, and UC Davis with a composite score of 14-1 to open their 2023 campaign. In their last meeting, BC fell short in a 3-1 bout. The Eagles hold a 3-4 record against the Terps in ACC/Big 10Â Challenge matchups, dating back to 2015.
All games this weekend will be held at the Field Hockey and Women's Lacrosse Complex on the University of Maryland campus, and will be broadcasted on Big Ten Plus.
