Eagles worked at tag tempo on penultimate day of camp
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — The Eagles suited up in full pads at tag tempo on a sunny Thursday morning for their penultimate day of preseason camp.Â

Offensive Highlights: Dino Tomlin scored the first touchdown of the day on a deep ball from Emmett Morehead, leading Tomlin down the left sideline for the long score. Alex Broome got three straight touches to start the second team session, two carries and one reception. Thomas Castellanos was busy on his feet today, picking up several chunk gains on scrambles and designed runs from the pocket. Lewis Bond secured multiple first downs in the first team session and found the end zone on a touchdown pass from Morehead, who found Bond on a crisp out route to the corner pylon. Morehead completed a second touchdown in the final team session, this time to Cam'Ron Barfield in the flat. Castellanos also logged a passing TD this session, floating one for Joseph Griffin Jr. in the corner of the end zone for the score with the ones.Â
Defensive Highlights: The defense spent a lot of time in the backfield today, started off by a blown up WR screen in the first team session, their first of multiple broken up screen passes on the day. Victor Nelson and Jalen Cheek combined for a PBU over the middle of the field, and Kam Arnold displayed great coverage ability on a PBU in the corner of the end zone. Cole Batson also showed good coverage in the end zone, disrupting a touchdown throw with the ones.Â
7-on-7, tag tempo: Emmett Morehead completed five passes this session, to George Takacs, Kye Robichaux, Ismael Zamor, and two to Xavier Coleman. Coleman hauled in passes from both the slot and the backfield on a variety of routes. Thomas Castellanos completed a pair of throws to Dino Tomlin for first down conversions.Â
