Mahogany earns second consecutive preseason honor.
GREENSBORO, N.C. – A pair of Boston College football players earned a spot on the All-ACC Preseason Team as announced by the league on Wednesday morning. Graduate offensive guard Christian Mahogany (Elmwood, N.J.) earned his second consecutive preseason honor, while junior defensive end Donovan Ezeiruaku (Williamstown, N.J.) gained his first.
Mahogany, a preseason All-American, missed the entire 2022 season due to injury and returns to the BC offensive line after earning All-ACC Second Team recognition in 2021. He has started 22 games in his career as on the watch list for the Outland Trophy, which recognized the best interior lineman in the country on offense or defense.
Ezeiruaku moved into a starting role with the Eagles early in 2022 and went on to earn All-ACC Second Team. He recorded 8.5 sacks and 14.5 tackles for loss; both the most by an Eagle since 2018. He ranked fourth in the ACC in both categories.
The All-ACC Preseason Team was voted on by the 176 credentialed media members from last month's ACC Kickoff.
