August 15, 2023 | Football
The second half of fall camp started inside Fish Field House on Tuesday.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Following an off day, the Boston College football team resumed its fall camp with practice No. 11 inside Fish Field House. The Eagles have a visit from ACC Network for the network's annual ACC Road Trip Show, slated to air Thursday at 7 p.m., and continue to work toward scrimmage No. 2 on Saturday.
First Song in Team Flex: fukumean (Gunna)
First Team Session (Backed Up on Minus-1): Defensive tackle Cameron Horsley provided the first highlight of the day with a nice PBU on third-and-8. The defense forced a pair of three-and-outs before Thomas Castellanos moved the stick with a completion to Jaden Williams. Emmett Morehead later picked up a pair of first downs with completions to Lewis Bond and running back Cam'ron Barfield.
9 on 9, Tag Tempo: The Morehead-Bond connection remained strong, beginning with a first-down hookup on the final play from the first team. Bond later made an *INSANE, one-handed catch down the right sideline. Tight ends George Takacs and Charlie Gordinier were also frequently featured in this period, with Takacs hauling in the first play of 9-on-9 down the middle.
Final Team Period: Running back Alex Broome took the first carry of ones for a nice chunk through the middle. Morehead then hit Ryan O'Keefe on a wide receiver screen. O'Keefe juked and broke off a 50-yard touchdown on the catch-and-run. Broome's success with the first team continued with another nice gain up the right side and a reception out of the backfield. The defense stepped up late with Clive Wilson knocking down a pass at the line and the front following with a pair of sacks. However, the day still belonged to Bond, who made two more catches; the later more *INSANE* than his first early in 9-on-9.
