The Eagles were in full pads as they prepared for Sunday's scrimmage.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Day nine of Boston College football's preseason camp was in full pads as the Eagles prepared for Sunday's intrasquad scrimmage. BC spent the entirety of the practice on the grass Chamberlin Field outside of Fish Field House.
Team Periods: Corner Amari Jackson provided the first highlight of the day with a pick on a deflection. Wideout Jaden Wiliams recorded the first touchdown of the day for the offense in a red zone period in in one-on-one coverage. Jackson followed with a pass break-up in the end zone to prevent a touchdown, while Jalon Williams also knocked a ball loose from a receiver to prevent a score. Ryan O'Keefe scored for the offense on a slant in the middle of the end zone. The last play of day was a completion across the middle to Jacob Kraft.
Situational (Down 7, 1:19 Remaining, Minus-32 Yard Line): First-team quarterback Emmett Morehead completed a 20-yard pass to Jaden Williams to guide the offense over midfield. On third-and-four, Morehead completed a ball to Lewis Bond, who got out of bounds, to move the sticks. Facing a fourth-and-10, Morehead again found Williams; this time stepping out at the 18-yard line with 22 seconds left. The defense then held and forced a turnover on downs.
Situational (Down 7, 0:33 Remaining, Plus-31 Yard Line, 0 Timeouts): Morehead ran on first down, but was ruled down inbounds. He then converted another first down to Bond, who went out of bounds at the 4-yard line. The offense scored a play later as Morehead threw complete to Ismael Zamor in the corner of the end zone.
