Eagles Add Joachim Lindstol to Staff as Assistant Coach

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The James R. Maher Head Ski Coach Alex Norden has announced the hiring of Joachim Lindstol as the program's newest assistant coach. Lindstol comes to the Heights after a standout collegiate and international alpine career at the University of Vermont.Â
"We're extremely excited to welcome Joachim to our coaching staff," said head coach Alex Norden. "Through his years competing at the World Cup, Europa Cup and NCAA level, Joachim's gained knowledge and expertise that will help with the growth of our athletes and program. The team's very enthused to start working with him."
During his career at UVM, Lindstol was a four-time All-American with a pair of podium finishes in slalom. The Norweigan placed top-5 in both slalom and giant slalom at the 2023 NCAA Championships at Whiteface Mountain. He earned 22 podiums and 12 victories in his EISA career as a Catamount.Â
Internationally, Lindstol posted three top-10 finishes at the Europa Cup and earned two World Cup slalom starts at Val d'Isére and Kranjska Gora. He took third place in slalom at the 2018 Jr. World Championships in Davos and spent four seasons on the Norwegian ski team.Â
