CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- Boston College starting pitcher Chris Flynn (Nauagatuck, Conn.) and first baseman Joe Vetrano (Shrub Oak, N.Y.) were each named to the ABCA/Rawlings Northeast All-Region Second Team. This year marks the fourth consecutive season an Eagle has earned All-ABCA honors.

He anchored the BC rotation from the Saturday spot with a 7-3 record, 4.34 earned run average and 84 strikeouts in 74.2 innings pitched. His seven wins were the most by an Eagle since 2019 and 84 strikeouts are the eighth most in a single season in BC history.
Vetrano, an Al-ACC Third Team selection, served as the BC cleanup hitter in the latter stages of the season as he led the Boston College lineup with a .315 batting average and .671 slugging percentage. He blasted 22 home runs and drove in 64 RBI. His home run and RBI totals both rank second in a single season in BC history. Vetrano added 53 runs, 34 walks and 12 doubles, while holding a 1.000 fielding percentage. He was named the MVP of the NCAA Tuscaloosa Regional as he hit four home runs in four games.
Boston College matched its program-best record in a season at 37-20 and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2016.
