
Mitchell Wins Back-to-Back ACC 800m Championships as BC Bests Four Records

Mitchell's winning time of 2:01.73 ranks fifth in the NCAA
RALEIGH, N.C. – Katherine Mitchell won her second ACC Championship of the year in the women's 800m as the Eagles tied for 13th at the ACC Outdoor Championships this weekend.
Duke took home the women's team title, accumulating 145.5 points across the three-day meet. Virginia Tech finished second with 84.5 points, with Miami trailing just behind to place third (83 points).
SCHOOL RECORDS SHATTERED
The reigning Indoor ACC Women's 800m Champion Katherine Mitchell successfully defended her throne, starting with a first place finish in the preliminary round (2:03.57). Mitchell would go on to run the best 800m time of her career in the championship round with a time of 2:01.73 - a new school record and the fifth-best time in the NCAA this season.
Junior Kyla Krawczyk broke the Eagles 400m hurdles record in the preliminary rounds, qualifying for the finals after crossing the line at 58.41. Krawczyk then topped her own performance in the final round, setting a new school record at 58.37.
BC's Female Rookie of the Year Sydney Segalla scored her first individual school record of her career in the 400m preliminaries - finishing 13th overall with a time of 53.85.
Both Krawczyk and Segalla also assisted in setting a new school record in the 4x400m relay (3:38.93) alongside Anna Cleary and Marne Sullivan to place seventh overall after winning their heat.
