Eagles Finish Regular Season Strong at Penn Relays

Kyla Krawczyk (400m H) and Paige Carter (5000m) win heats, DMR team breaks outdoor school record
PHILADELPHIA – The Eagles closed out their regular season strong at the Penn Relays this week, setting five personal records en route to three heat victories altogether.
Boston College found a groove early on day one, claiming first place in two-of-three heats on the women's side. Kyla Krawczyk got the first section victory of the day in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:00.11 to place 13th overall.
Paige Carter earned the second victory in her 5000m heat after an impressive kick to move from fourth to first in the final 200m stretch. Carter's effort secured her 14th overall and a new PR of 16:12.90.
Sarah Flynn also set a personal best in the 1500m run with a time of 4:24.85 to place 23rd. Flynn would carry her momentum into day two, helping her DMR team set a new outdoor school record (11:11.53) alongside Katherine Mitchell, Kyla Krawczyk, and Marne Sullivan.
Day two's running events for BC would conclude with the 4x400m, where the team of Sydney Segalla, Kyla Krawczyk, Anna Cleary, and Katherine Mitchell placed 11th with a time of 3:48.64.
Sophie Albright led the way for the Eagles' field events, claiming third in the high jump after clearing the 1.64m bar. Emily Rohan claimed seventh in the javelin throw with a distance of 38.70m.
