Softball Swept in Series Against Clemson

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College lost 8-0 to Clemson on Sunday afternoon. The Eagles are now 16-17 on the season and 1-8 in the ACC while Clemson improves to 36-1 and 12-0 in the conference.
BC managed to stay in this one through the first two innings, giving up just two runs. But the Clemson offense broke the game open with five runs in the third inning. Meghan Schouten logged the lone BC hit - a one-out single in the second. Eagle pitchers Susannah Anderson and Abby Dunning both made appearances in the game, Anderson pitched 2.1 innings and allowed five hits and Dunning pitched 2.2 innings, recording three strikeouts and two hits.Â
Valerie Cagle got the start in the circle for Clemson, she pitched a complete game, recording four strikeouts and allowing just one hit in 16 total at bats and five total innings. S
BC will be back in action on Wednesday to take on Merrimack at 4 PM.Â
