Marice Aguiar Earns Top-50 Singles Win in Loss to Virginia

Eagles will hit the road for matches at Georgia Tech and Clemson next weekend
WEYMOUTH, Mass. — The No. 54 Boston College Eagles (8-5, 1-4) fell 6-1 to No. 15 Virginia on Sunday afternoon.
Stephanie Sanchez and Sophia Edwards played to a 3-3 score at No. 3 doubles before Virginia clinched the point.
Marice Aguiar got BC on the board at No. 1 singles, continuing her strong spring season with a 7-5, 6-4 win over No. 38 Julia Adams. In thirteen spring matches, Aguiar is 9-2 at the top singles position.
The Eagles will now prepare for a road trip to Georgia Tech and Clemson next weekend.
