Eagles Earn Doubles Point in Loss at Georgia Tech

BC will continue road trip Sunday at Clemson

ATLANTA, Ga. — The No. 51 Boston College Eagles fell 6-1 to No. 27 Georgia Tech on Friday night.

Boston College took a 1-0 lead in doubles, started off by a 6-2 victory at No. 3 from Sophia Edwards and Stephanie Sanchez. Marice Aguiar and Laura Lopez won 6-4 at No. 1 doubles to clinch the point.

At No. 1 singles, No. 72 Marice Aguiar took No. 8 Carol Lee to a third set after battling back with a 6-4 win in the second set, yet Lee prevailed in a third-set tiebreak.

The Eagles (8-6, 1-5) will continue their road trip on Sunday against Clemson.
