Abigail Levy has been named the Hockey East Stop It Goaltending Goaltender of the Month.
AMESBURY, Mass. – Boston College women's hockey goaltender Abigail Levy has been named the Hockey East Stop It Goaltending Goaltender of the Month for February, as announced Tuesday by the league.

In the month of February, Levy led Hockey East in save percentage (.960), saves (242) and shutouts (2). The graduate student went 5-2-0 to finish with the second most wins while posting the third-best goals against average (1.44).

Levy posted back-to-back shutouts to open the month, earning a 42-save shutout in a 3-0 win against #11 Providence on Feb. 3 and producing a 30-save performance in a 3-0 win over Harvard on Feb. 7 in the Beanpot Tournament semifinal. The Congers, N.Y. native made at least 30 saves in all seven of her starts and produced three 35-plus save wins for the Eagles.

Overall on the year, Levy sits at 16-12-0 with a .947 save percentage, 1.77 goals against average and five shutouts. Her save percentage ranks second in the nation but is the best mark for goaltenders who make at least 20 saves per game. Additionally, her goals against average is the top mark among goaltenders who make at least 25 saves per game.

This is the first career Goaltender of the Month honor for Levy, who earned a Player of the Week and a Goaltender of the Week nod during the month of February.
