Eagles Set to Face Huskies in Hockey East Semifinal

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The fourth-seeded Boston College women's hockey team will take on top-seeded Northeastern on Wednesday night in the Hockey East Tournament semifinal.

Puck drop between #15 Boston College and #5 Northeastern is slated for 6 p.m. at Matthews Arena. The contest will stream live on ESPN+.

The championship game will be held on Saturday, March 4 to determine the winner of the Bertagna Trophy.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR
• Boston College and Northeastern will meet in the Hockey East Tournament semifinal round on Wednesday night at Matthews Arena ... this is the first time since the 2019 title game that these two teams are meeting in the tournament.
• The Huskies won all four regular season meetings this season, sweeping the three-game Hockey East regular season series and picking up a 2-1 win in the Beanpot title game.
• The Eagles advanced to the program's 14th semifinal by way of a 4-3 overtime win over UConn while the Huskies earned a berth after topping Merrimack, 5-1.

ABOUT BOSTON COLLEGE
• Boston College enters Wednesday night at 20-14-1 overall.
• The Eagles earned a 4-3 overtime win against UConn in Saturday's quarterfinal round, with Katie Pyne scoring the game-tying goal in the third period and the game-winning goal in overtime while Abigail Levy made 33 saves.
• Hannah Bilka leads the Eagles in points (41), assists (29) and shots on goal (132) ... Abby Newhook (19-14-33) is second on the team in scoring and first in goals ... Gaby Roy (9-10-19), Kelly Browne (6-11-17), Cayla Barnes (6-13-19), Pyne (11-6-17), Alexie Guay (6-7-13) and Caroline Goffredo (2-8-10) have all hit double-digit points for the Eagles.

• Northeastern holds an overall mark of 31-2-1 … the Huskies are riding a 19-game winning streak, having not dropped a contest since a 3-0 loss at #13 Providence on Nov. 15, 2022.
• Alina Mueller leads Northeastern in scoring, putting up 24 goals while being credited with 31 assists for 55 points … Maureen Murphy (19-31-50) and Chloe Aurard (18-32-50) give Northeastern three 50-point getters.
