Eagles Finish Fourth at Rivertowne Invitational

Cynthia Zhang tied for ninth place overall to lead BC
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- Boston College finished fourth at the Rivertowne Invitational, held at the Rivertowne Country Club in Mt. Pleasant, S.C.
The Eagles finished with a team score of 878, with individual round scores of 285, 293, and 300, respectively, across the three days of competition. A tightly bunched team leaderboard, the top four team finishers were separated by nine strokes.
Cynthia Zhang was BC's top finisher, tying for ninth place overall. She fired a pair of 1-under par 71's during the first and third rounds of play. Canice Screene tied for 13th place - her best round coming on Sunday - a 2-under 70. Stephany Kim tied for 22nd place and was 1-under through 36 holes of play. Bianca Sol Cruz tied for 39th place, thanks in part a second-round 73, while Eubin Shim's best round of the tournament came in the opening 18 holes of play - an even-par 72. Ananya Barthakur competed individually, tying for 48th place and posting consecutive rounds of 75 to open play.
Boston College tied for first among the field in par 3 scoring (3.15 avg.), playing those holes at +9 for the tournament. The Eagles were also third-best in the field in par 4 scoring (4.14 avg., +21).
The Eagles return to action on March 13-14 at the Briar's Creek Invitational on Johns Island, S.C.
