#13 Providence Gets Past #15 Boston College

The Eagles have locked up home ice through the quarterfinal round of the 2023 Hockey East Tournament and will host UConn on Saturday, Feb. 25 at Kelley Rink.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The #15/RV Boston College women's hockey team fell to #13 Providence College, 3-0, on Saturday afternoon at Kelley Rink.
The Eagles have locked up home ice through the quarterfinal round of the 2023 Hockey East Tournament and will host UConn on Saturday, Feb. 25 at Kelley Rink.
The teams were scoreless through the first 20 minutes before Lindsay Bochna found the back of the net just under three minutes into the second period. Sara Hjalmarsson scored 51 seconds into the final frame and Bochna added an empty-net goal in the waning minutes of play.

- Providence College had the 36-33 lead in shots on goal
- Boston College went 0-for-3 on the power play and Providence was 0-for-2.
- BC now holds a record of 43-42-3 in the all-time series with Providence since elevating to Division I status for the 1995-96 season … the Eagles are now 23-19-2 against the Friars at Kelley Rink … head coach Katie Crowley is now 36-12-3 in her career against Providence.
- Abigail Levy finished with 33 saves for the Eagles.
- Hannah Bilka led BC with a game-high six shots on goal.
- Sidney Fess led the Eagles with a game-high three blocked shots.
- The Eagles finish fourth in Hockey East … BC is the only Hockey East school, men's or women's, to finish in the top four of the standings each year since the 2010-11 season.
