Eagles preparing for Fenway Bowl this Thursday at 11am against SMU
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — With six days against the Fenway Bowl against SMU, the Eagles practiced at thud and tag tempo on Friday afternoon.
First Song in Team Flex: TTG, Youngboy Never Broke Again feat. Kevin Gates
Offensive Highlights: The run game produced early and often on Friday, with both Kye Robichaux and Alex Broome finding gaps in the line for positive yardage in team sessions. Thomas Castellanos had a good day in the pocket, including several good reads on options plays that produced positive gains from Reed Harris and Nate Johnson, who earned a lot of targets today… In the red zone portion, Castellanos completed two touchdowns to Lewis Bond, one to Jaedn Skeete, and another to Jeremiah Franklin.
Defensive Highlights: The pass rush controlled the line of scrimmage in the first team session…Jason Scott broke up a pass on a full extension play on the sideline… The secondary had a strong 7-on-7 session, with Carter Davis picking up the first interception of the day off a tip drill over the middle… A nice rush move from Donovan Ezeiruaku forced a loss on a rush attempt in the second team session… Jason Scott and Victor Nelson both made nice plays to stop plays in the backfield… Kam Arnold finished things off with his second interception in as many practices.
