The Eagles practiced at tag tempo on Friday morning with less than two weeks until gameday
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. --Â With under two weeks until the Fenway Bowl against SMU, the Eagles practiced at tag tempo on Friday morning inside Fish Field House.
First Song in Team Flex: From the D to the A - Tee Grizzley feat. Lil Yachty
Team, Tag Tempo: Kye Robichaux took the first carry up the middle for a chunk gain, showing nice burst through the line… Thomas Castellanos floated a beautiful ball to Reed Harris for a big gain over the middle, the first of many nice plays for Harris on the day… Castellanos connected with Jaedn Skeete on a few quick hits over the middle for first downs… 39 secured an interception with the ones on a tipped ball over the middle… Harris made a great contested catch on a delivery from Jacobe Robinson with the twos… 28 made a nice play on a quick pass over the middle to break up the completion.
7-on-7, Tag Tempo: Thomas Castellanos linked up with Reed Harris several times this session, including a nice sideline connection on a rollout to Castellanos' right… Khari Johnson made a nice jumping PBU on the sideline to break up a deep completion, contributing to a good session for the secondary… in the red zone portion, Alex Broome made a sensational touchdown catch on a tip drill in the end zone, tracking the ball down to the ground… Castellanos started this portion with three straight touchdown passes, first to Broome, and then to Dino Tomlin and Jaedn Skeete, who made a leaping catch over two defenders in the corner of the end zone… KP Price made a diving play to break up a touchdown over the middle… Nate Johnson logged two touchdowns in red zone work, one from Matthew Rueve and one from Jacobe Robinson.
Situation (Down 3, one timeout, 1:18 on the clock): Daveon Crouch forced the QB pressure and the incompletion on the first play… Donovan Ezeiruaku followed that up with a nice QB pressure to force another incompletion… Thomas Castellanos connected with Lewis Bond a few times, including a long gain along the sideline to set up a goal-to-go opportunity… the offense finished the drive with a Charlie Gordinier touchdown catch after Castellanos found space in the pocket, punctuating a clinical session from the offense.
