
Eagles Take the Trip Up North to Face #13 Vermont

Boston College heads to Burlington for Face the Catamounts on Friday and Saturday.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The No. 15 Boston College women's hockey team heads up north to Burlington for a two-game hockey east tilt against No. 13 Vermont.
The Eagles and Catamounts will face off at 6 p.m. on Friday and again at 3 p.m. on Saturday. Both games will stream live on ESPN+.

WHAT'S ON TAP
- Boston College and Vermont will meet for two games this weekend at Gutterson Fieldhouse, facing off at 6 p.m. on Friday and 3 p.m. on Saturday.

- In Hockey East standings, five points separate Boston College and Vermont. Currently, the Eagles are sitting comfortably in first in the standing with 17 points, followed by UConn with 13 points and Vermont in the third slot with 12 points.
- The only way for Vermont to pass BC is for the Catamounts to sweep the Eagles. The Catamount needs to accomplish this in regulation to earn the six points to pass BC.
- In every other outcome scenario, the Eagles will still be ahead of Vermont in points.
LAST WEEKEND OUT
- Last weekend Boston College split the series with Maine.
- The Eagles scored seven times with six different goal scorers. Caroline Goffredo led the charge on goals scored, she found the back of the net 2 different times.
- Annaka Mettler found the back of the net for the first time in her career, this goal ended up being the game-winning goal for the Eagles.
SCOUTING VERMONT
- Vermont enters the matchup with only three losses this season coming from at the time #9 Clarkson, #11 St. Lawrence and Holy Cross.
- The Catamounts are cruising through hockey east play. Through five games Vermont has only dropped one game against Holy Cross.
- Natalie Mlynkova leads Vermont in both goals and points. Mlynkova has scored six different times and has recorded five assists for a total of 11 points.
- Back in the net, the Catamounts have senior Jessie McPherson. McPherson has started in eight out of nine games. She has only allowed 19 goals in this season with a save percentage of 91.
