
Eagles Ink Three for 2024 Signing Class

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College women's basketball staff is excited to announce the 2024 signing class with a trio of future Eagles in Tatum Greene, Déborah Mukeba Kasanda, and Athena Tomlinson.

On the court, they each bring something different to add depth, quickness, size, and versatility to our team. Tatum Greene | 6'3 | Guard | Baltimore, Md. | Saint John's College High School
A four-star recruit according to ESPN.com ... averaged 12.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 6.0 assists per game last season, helping her squad capture the WCAC championship ... contributed to a MPSSAA State runner-up finish in 2022-23 ... was named to the 2021-22 Baltimore Sun All-First Team and WCAC All-Second Team after averaging 10.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game ... played her travel ball with Philadelphia Rise EYBL (PA) and Team Durant EYBL(MD) born on Dec. 22, 2005 ... is the daughter of Timothy and Chanel Wright-Greene ... has three siblings ... her mom played basketball at North Carolina and for the Minnesota Lynx.

"We are excited to have Tatum donning a BC Jersey. She is a dynamic three-level scoring forward who possesses the ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor. At 6'3, Her versatility on offense and her tenacity on the boards will add a new dimension to our team. What's equally impressive is her dedication to improving her game which was instilled in her by her mom, Chanel, who was a standout player in the ACC. Tatum gained valuable experience playing for Team Durant AAU organization and St. John's High School. She is a competitor who is used to winning. I am eager to see her grow as a player and expect her to be an early contributor to our program."Â
Déborah Mukeba Kasanda | 6'5 | Center | Fleurus, Belgium | Winston-Salem Christian SchoolÂ
Played for the Cep Fleurus Club from 2012-18 in Fleurus, while playing for the Spirou Club from 2019-21 ...turned in 8.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocks with her club teams ... played for the U16, U17 and U18 Belgium National Team ... averaged 3.9 points, 9.0 rebounds and 1.1 assists at the U18 European Championships last July, highlighted by seven-point, 19-rebound performance against the Czech Republic ... she also grabbed 13 boards against Lithuania ... born on Jan. 27, 2006 ... is the daughter of David Mukeba Kasanda and Yvonne Ekofo Lokoku ... comes from a rich basketball family with her five siblings all playing in Belgium, while her brother plays basketball at UMKC.Â

"We are excited to welcome Deborah to our basketball family. She possesses size and strength, which will provide the post presence that we need. Deborah has great timing on her blocks, and is a rim protector who will aggressively pursue the boards. She's gained valuable experience playing for NBA legend Delaney Rudd at Winston-Salem Christian, the Belgium National Team, and the NBA Europe basketball without borders camp. I anticipate her to be an immediate presence on the court and develop into a dominant center for us."
Athena Tomlinson | 5'5 | Guard | Fresno, Calif. | Clovis WestÂ
A four-star recruit and ranked 65th in the ESPN.com HoopGurlz recruiting rankings ... averaging 16 points, 4.0 steals and 4.0 assists per game for her career ... was named the Tri-River Athletic Conference Most Valuable Player and Fresno Bee MVP ... is a two-time All-State Second Team selection and All-State Third Team honoree ... born on December 30, 2005 ... is the daughter of Imamu and Tasha Tomlinson ... her brother plays basketball at Graceland University.Â

"We are thrilled to have Athena join our basketball family on The Heights. Her exceptional point guard skills, court vision, and basketball IQ are complimented by her speed and quickness. Her work ethic and dedication to the game are exemplary. Athena can control the tempo of the game and create scoring opportunities for her teammates. Playing for JBS AAU Organization and Clovis West High School has allowed her to compete and excel at the national level. I do not doubt that she will be a great floor general and leader both on and off the court."
