» Boston College returns home on a five-game win streak to face Virginia Tech on Saturday, Nov. 11 at Noon ET.
» Saturday’s game will be broadcast nationally on ACC Network. Jorge Sedano (play-by-play) and Orlando Franklin (analyst) are in the booth with Marilyn Payne (reporter) on the sidelines.
» Coverage on the Boston College Sports Network begins 30 minutes prior to kickoff on WEEI 93.7 FM. Jon Meterparel (play-by-play) is joined on the call by former BC linebacker Pete Cronan in the booth and quarterback Scott Mutryn on the sideline.
» Boston College trails the all-time series, 11-20, including an 8-10 mark in ACC regular season games. The two teams were previously conference opponents in the Big East from 1991-2003.
» The Eagles have won the last two games vs. the Hokies played in Chestnut Hill. BC won the 2019 season opener, 35-28, and picked up a 17-3 win in its 2021 Red Bandanna Game.
» The Eagles are riding a five-game win streak; their first since 2010. BC last won six in a row in 2007 when the Eagles started the season 8-0 and reached No. 2 in the rankings.
» The Eagles started 2023 1-3 and followed with five-straight wins to be bowl eligible. BC last rallied from 1-3 to reach a bowl in 2017.
» BC is bowl eligible for the third time in head coach Jeff Hafley’s four seasons and earned eligibility after game six; the fastest to bowl eligibility by the Eagles since a 6-2 start in 2018.
» Thomas Castellanos leads the country for rushing yards by a QB at 760, which is 33rd among all rushers. His 10 rushing TDs are tied for 13th in FBS and tied with Caleb Williams (USC) for most by a QB.
» Cornerback Elijah Jones leads the ACC in interceptions (5) and passes defended (13); tied for second and fifth nationally.
