Annaka Mettler's first collegiate goal proved to be the gamewinner vs. the Black Bears
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College women's hockey team split the weekend series against the Maine Black Bears with a 4-2 victory on Saturday afternoon.
The Eagles took a 1-0 lead midway through the first off of the stick of Gaby Roy. Maine responded with two unanswered goals in the second period. With two minutes left in the second period, Sammy Simgliani found the back of the net to tie the game up at 2-2 heading into the third period. The Eagles did not let up on the offensive attack in the third period. Annaka Mettler found the back of the net for the game-winning goal. Sammy Taber sealed the 4-2 victory with an empty net goal with a minute left to play.
