
Eagles Fall in a Close Battle to Northeastern

GLOUCESTER, Mass. - The Boston College women's hockey team dropped a close battle 1-3 to Hockey East rival Northeastern.
The Huskies opened the game with scoring within the first two minutes into the contest,which was the lone goal of the first period. In the second period, the Eagles responded with a 5-on-3 power-play goal to knot it up at 1-1 heading into the third period.
The third period saw two goals. The Huskies put away the game-winning six minutes into the period. The Eagles tried to respond late in the third period when they pulled Grace Campbell for an offensive charge. The empty net resulted in an goal that sent the Huskies to a 3-1 victory.

GAME NOTES
- BC out shot Northeastern for a total of 30 shots. The Huskies only had 29 shots.
- Julia Pellerin led Boston College with five shots on goal.
- Sidney Fess was the lone Eagles that found the back of the net this weekend.
- The Eagles had 10 blocked shots today, while Northeastern only got in front of six shots. Cailin Flynn and Molly Jordan led the Eagles with two blocked shots.
- This game saw eight penalties in total. The Eagles were able to convert on one of their two attempts. The Huskies could not convert on any of their six power-play attempts.
- Grace Campbell had an outstanding game. Campbell saved 26 shots she faced including three breakaway attempts.
