
Eagles Defeat Demon Deacons in Four Sets

Eagles win final roadtrip of the regular season by scores of 25-21, 14-25, 25-18, and 25-20
WINSTON-SALEM, NC – The Boston College volleyball team defeated Wake Forest in four sets on the road Wednesday night. The Eagles record moves to 18-13 overall and 7-10 in the ACC.
The first set was back-and-forth, the Eagles were within one 15 times, and tied up the set eight times. The Eagles finished the set on a 3-0 run led by senior outside hitter Katrina Jensen with two kills. Wake Forest started set two fast, ultimately taking the set 25-14. The Eagles responded in the third with an early lead, hitting .444, taking the set 25-18. The momentum continued for the Eagles taking the final set; 25-20.Â
Freshman outside hitter Audrey Ross led the Eagles with 13 kills, adding five blocks and one service ace. Jensen followed with 11 kills, making it her seventh straigh match with 10+ kills.Â
Senior libero Anna Murphy led the night with 12 digs adding on two assists, and one service ace. Senior setter Sophia Lambros led the Eagles with 21 assists, followed by senior setter Grace Penn with 17. Junior Julia Haggerty led the night with nine blocks, tacking on six kills. Â
The Eagles return to action on Saturday, Nov. 25 at 12:30 p.m. against Miami in the Margot Connell Recreation Center for its annual Senior Day.
