
Women's Cross Country Competes at NCAA Championship

Roshni Singh places 79th overall to lead the Eagles at the championship meet
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — Roshni Singh placed 79th as the Boston College Women's Cross Country competed at the 2023 NCAA Cross Country Championships at the Panorama Farms Cross Country Course on Saturday morning.Â

Roshni Singh finished 78th overall out of 252 runners in the Women's 6K to lead the Eagles on the day, completing the course with a time of 20:32.6. Singh is coming off a regional performance where she placed 17th overall with a time of 20:19.0.  Â
Freshman Natlie Millerova was the next Eagle to cross the finish line, coming in at 120th place. Millerova's time of 20:48.6 is her second best time of the season and her career.Â
Lily Flynn and Emma Tavella completed the six-kilometer course within 10 seconds of each other, with Flynn placing 152nd (21:01:9) and Tavella finishing in 170th (21:11.2). Sarah Flynn rounded out the top-five finishers for the Eagles, placing 190th with a time of 21:24.8.Â
Molly Hudson came in at 234th with a time of 22:08.7, while Ella Fadil placed 239th (22:20.3) and rounded out the group of Eagles who competed in the six-kilometer course.Â
As a team Boston College placed 26th, compiling 567 points. The Eagles finished second in the Northeast Region, just behind Harvard who placed 25th overall. Boston College had the fourth best team placement out of the ACC teams who competed, finishing behind NC State, Notre Dame, and Virginia.Â
NC State took home the Women's national championships with 123 points, while Northern Arizona (124), Oklahoma Stats (156), Notre Dame (237), and Florida (268) rounded out the top-five.Â
