Fencing Hosts Northeast Conference Championships

Eagles host first and only meet of the season on Sunday morning
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College Fencing team hosts the 2023 Northeast Fencing Conference Championships on Sunday morning at the Margot Connell Recreation Center.Â
Last Time Out
The Eagles traveled down the road to Brandeis University to compete in the Beanpot against Brandies, Harvard, and MIT. Each team faced the other three teams once in a duel meet.Â
On the Men's side, Boston College finished the night with a 2-1 overall record, defeating Brandeis 18-9 in round 1 and MIT 14-13 in round 2. They fell to Harvard 17-10 in round 3. The 2-1 record put the Eagles in second place, just behind Harvard (3-0).Â
On the Women's side, the Eagles completed the night with a 1-2 record, which placed them third overall out of four teams. Boston College defeated Brandeis 16-11 in round 1, and then lost the final two rounds to MIT (15-12) and Harvard (19-8).Â
Northeast Fencing Conference ChampionshipsÂ
The Eagles will host their first and only home meet of the season, as they compete in the Northeast Fencing Conference Championships. The Eagles will be joined by Brandeis, Brown, MIT, Sacred Heart, Tufts, Vassar, Wellesley, and Wagner. The meet will start at 9 a.m, and each team will face the other teams throughout nine rounds, with one team having a bye each round.Â

Round 4 - BC vs. Vassar
