BC Duo Goes 10-2 in Fall Doubles Action
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- The doubles team of JJ Bianchi and Jake Vassel rose to #17 in the latest ITA National Doubles Rankings, The Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced Wednesday. The Eagles posted an impressive 10-2 doubles record this fall, claiming the highest doubles ranking in program history.
The duo claimed victories against top-tier opponents Alabama, Oklahoma State, and Princeton during the fall season. Vassel and Bianchi advanced to the Final Four of the ITA Super Regionals doubles draw and the quarterfinals of the ITA Fall National Doubles Championship to start their 2023-24 campaign.
Today's rankings run will feature the Top 125 singles players as well as the Top 60 doubles teams from across the country. This will be the final rankings release of the fall season, and a full list of upcoming ranking releases can be found on the ITA Rankings Page.
