Men's Tennis Claims Doubles Point in Loss to Louisville

WEYMOUTH, Mass. – The Boston College men's tennis team (4-11, 0-9 ACC) opened strong and claimed the doubles point, but ultimately fell 4-1 to Louisville (16-9, 4-5 ACC) Friday afternoon at the Weymouth Club.

The Eagles came out hot, recording two doubles victories to earn the point headed into singles play. Aidan Pack and Matthew Overvelde secured the first victory of the afternoon in No. 2 doubles, 6-3. Clinching the match, Liam O'Leary and Matvey Greschner had an electric performance at No. 1, securing a 7-5 victory over the Cardinals.

Louisville responded in singles play with four straight victories to take the match, but the Eagles continued to compete across the lineup. Several courts remained unfinished at the time of the clinch.
