BC set to face off Florida State University and the University of Miami over the weekend
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -Â Boston College travels to Florida this weekend for a set of matches against Florida State University on Friday at 6:30 p.m. and the University of Miami on Sunday at 1 p.m.
Boston College finished the past weekend with an even slate, defeating Duke in five sets and falling to UNC in three sets. Alayna Crabtree led the weekend with 11 kills. While Julia Haggerty led the Eagles in the win over Duke with nine kills and a season high 11 blocks. Anna Murphy led the defense with 35 digs on the weekend, adding 26 against Duke.Â
Friday night BC meets FSU for the 27th time. Florida State is 13-7 on the season and 7-1 in conference play. The last time the two teams met the Eagles defeated the Seminoles in four sets, with scores of; 25-17, 23-25, 25-20 and 25-21. Jenna Pollock led the Eagles with a career high 22 kills adding on three blocks. Â
Sunday afternoon the Eagles face-off the Hurricanes for the 30th time. Miami is 12-6 on the season and 5-3 in conference play. The Eagles are looking for its sixth win against UMiami.Â
The Eagles return to action back at home on Friday Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. against Georgia Tech and Sunday Oct. 29 at 12 p.m. against Clemson.
