
Eagles and Cardinals Play to 1-1 Draw

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College women's soccer drew to a 1-1 tie against Louisville on Saturday evening at the Newton Soccer Field.
The Eagles earn a point in ACC play while moving to 3-9-3 and 0-6-1 in the conference. Louisville is now 3-7-5 and 2-3-2 in the league.
Both teams would attempt one shot on goal in the first 45, but neither capitalized on the opportunity, leading to a 0-0 score going into the half.
Boston College broke the tie in the 55th minute when Sydney Segalla found a sprinting Ella Richards in the box for the score to give BC a 1-0 lead.
The Cardinals scored with seven minutes remaining off a corner to make it a 1-1 contest, leading to the draw as neither team would get off a clean look at the net to score.
BC held an 11-7 edge in shots and 4-3 advantage in shots on goal. Richards led the team with three shot attempts. Wiebke Willebrandt posted a pair of saves in the matchup.
The Eagles return to action next Thursday with a 6 p.m. contest at Wake Forest.
