Eagles Open Hockey East Play with UConn

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College women's hockey opens up Hockey East play on Friday and Saturday as they take on No. 15 UConn for a home-and-home series.

Puck drop is set for 2 p.m. both nights, with the contests streaming live on ESPN+.

• The Huskies opened up the 2023-24 season last week with a pair of games at Penn State ... UConn topped Penn State 2-0 in the opener on Friday night and followed it up with a 1-1 tie on Saturday afternoon.
• Tina Chan got the start for UConn in both games over the weekend... Chan made 72 saves while only allowing one goal.
• Jada Habisch led the Huskies in scoring a season ago with 21 points on 13 goals and eight assists.
• Chris MacKenzie enters his 11th season as head coach of the Huskies with an all-time record of 153-157-44.

SERIES NOTES
• The Eagles lead the all-time series between the teams, 45-25-10 ... BC has a mark of 26-13-2 against the Huskies at Kelley Rink ... BC is 17-11-8 against UConn in Storrs and 2-1-0 in neutral site meetings.
