LAS CRUCES, N.M. -- Boston College tied for seventh on a tightly packed team leaderboard at the Iconic Classic, held at the New Mexico State University Golf Course. BC was 1-over par for the 54-hole tournament, registering a team score of 865 (286-282-297). A total of 10 strokes separated second through seventh place.
Leading the way for Boston College was Cynthia Zhang, who tied for 10th place. Zhang carded an even-par 214 (73-70-71). She compiled 36 pars and 10 birdies. It was her third straight top 12 finish of the season. Angel Lin was one stroke back, tying for 17th place with a 1-over 215 (74-69-72). Lin made 39 pars and nine birdies.
Canice Screene tied for 24th place (71-71-76=218), while Maya Obermüller finished in a tie for 49th place (70-72-81=223). Emily Böhrer tied for 58th place (72-75-78=225).
BC led the field in total pars, carding 183 for the 54-hole tournament. The Eagles also ranked third among the field on par 3 holes (3.07 avg) and fourth on par 4 holes (4.13 avg).
